 Tom Schaefer is a cutting edge technical professional with over 25 years of highly relevant experience in operations management and engineering oversight, acquisitions evaluation, and development planning in over 17 countries.  He provides strong business and technical skills as demonstrated through the creation of various oil and gas companies and execution of large scale engineering projects.  Specific experience includes evaluating and developing assets for more than 25 National and International oil and gas companies, managing large scale engineering projects in international and technically complex settings, leading business development efforts for both service companies and operators, and giving key expert testimony in large international legal proceedings.  Mr. Schaefer has recently led the Gulf Bend Resources team through the founding, funding, development and partial divestiture of their Madison and Leon County assets.  He still oversees non operated activities, and coordinates fund raising activities for participation with partners.  Recent expert witness work has seen him conduct detailed engineering research on catastrophic well failures, give key testimony, and guide clients’ legal teams to favorable outcomes in Federal and State courtrooms as well as Railroad Commission Hearings.
